Decided to build a simple 3D 1980s' boombox/ghetto blaster model for the next update of my site smile.gif . This here is the 'raw', untextured model:

And here's the textured model:

Looks nice, but in my opinion one of your less good ones. The fact that I don't like that kind of model could have something to do with it tho

This one seems a little more 2D then 3D. Not your greatest work but still pretty good.

Jacob.

Hey folks, that's okay smile.gif .

That is not an original design in any way. I was looking for a model with a distinctive 1980s' look to it [to go with a smaller cassette model I had built a while ago] and this is the actual boombox photo I based my 3D model on. I got it [the photo, that is] from the Net.

Note: My model is not an exact replica of the model featured in the image above.

Hang on, let me see if I can match the original photo's perspective [above].

That's as close as I can get...

Well, the boombox model now 'stars' in its own wallpaper:

Nope -- just the text and the models that I had built -- takes less than a minute once the separate elements are ready smile.gif . Yes, this is a simp... umm, make that 'minimalist' wallpaper wink.gif .

Well, who wants to join "The Boombox Foundation [for retired boomboxes]" and save this innocent little memento from the last millennium from total extinction and annihilation at the hands [or should that be feet?] of the ViperMachine warbot and this gang [see above posts] of remorseless sadists? biggrin.gif wink.gif

And thanks everyone, for the appreciation smile.gif .

Once again Arg, you have blown my mind with your work. I really love the first render without color. It looks very attractive and makes me want to buy it. Takes me back to the days of black and white. Great job.
