I've been reading some of the comments and now I ubderstand what is going on with this hosting site.
But you've also got to understand my/our points of view. It is really frustrating when you put countless hours in research and want to post something on you website and nothing happeneds, it gets kinda nerving. But I ubderstand the troubles and monies this website must be feeling as well. I've writtin messages in the past when I was in the peak of my anger, and sometimes I get really irrashinal however you spell it. So I appologize. I really do like this site. But I think it's silly we can't upload mp3's. That really bites me. I guess it's ok though. I guess. My bad for being mad. I really encourgage people to come to my site and see what our government is doing to us. At least have an open mind and check it. http://www.kylesplace.vndv.com P.S. Apparantly it's not working right now, that's why i'm here in the first place. Have a great day people Kyle |

The mp3 ban is to avoid people uploading copyrighted music, and then Zymic being sued - as they're free, they can't afford it! That goes for most of the stuff that isn't allowed.

I left your site immediately because you TELL people to use Internet Explorer.
Ugh... that's just disgusting. |

I left your site immediately because you TELL people to use Internet Explorer. Ugh... that's just disgusting. I don't tell anybody what to do. I mearly suggest to use MSIE cause Fire Fox can't read a simple CSS code. Fire Fox is an old Netscape piece of shit browser. And to view my site, "Correctly" I suggest that you use MSIE because, "Unfortunately" something from Microsoft actually works good. So if your that simple minded not to get valueable imformation because of a program that doe's/doesn't work, God help you, "If there really is a God". But whatever dude. Have a nice day today... There are plenty of other sites out there with the same information. And they conform to ALL browsers.
As a website developer it's your job to make sure your site works in ALL major browsers. To NOT be browser biased. I personally HATE Internet Explorer, because IT is the one that can't read simple css code. It is Microsofts fault that we have to have so many work around in css to make things work correctly for internet explorer. If you would actually read up on web languages, you would see it's actually IE that is the "piece of shit browser". And anyways, NOBODY said anything about firefox. Swordz said Chrome, and chrome was built from the ground up. Definitely not from netscape. So whatever script or CSS codes your using must be from the early 90's. Also, according to w3c, you have FOUR HUNDRED AND SEVEN (407) errors on your homepage, and 43 warnings. I've never seen a site with so many errors. http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%...ine&group=0 You might want to fix those errors then maybe your site will work better in other browsers. lmfao, now when I use Internet Explorer it TELLS me to use internet explorer. That's just annoying. |

Kyle Wow, you need to get your facts straight. Firefox is way more standards compliant than Internet Explorer. Any good webdev should already know that though. |

I don't mean to barge in, but when something bad is said about FireFox, I do have to step in. I agree that the latest Firefox wasn't that great (especially for the projects we're working for), but it beats MISE from a mile head-start. If you do go into the topic of how IE7 is better, then I'll just have to say, get your facts straight. What Microsoft did with IE7 was basically rip of ideas from other browsers including but not limited to Firefox, Sefari, Oracle, and Seamonkey. Well who didn't see that coming. Microsoft have been stealing ideas for years now.
Now going to the fact that you have coded your site to look good for MISE. Well there are many users on the web who are using only Mac. Mac does not allow (without hacking and modification) of the use of Internet Explorer. Why? Because Microsoft was feeling lazy and decided not to share. With that limitation you are limiting many readers/viewers to your site. |

Since when does posting a link to loose change count as countless hours of research? If you have an important message to spread, shell out a few bucks for a reliable host. I think of zymic hosting as a free way to dip your foot into the water and see if webdesign sparks your interest.

I used to use these, "old codes" in the beginning. Apparently I'm just going to have to revamp my website anyway. Back to the basics I guess. But when I load Fire Fox onto my website you can't see the text frm a simple CSS code. Where MSIE works just great. It also tells me it's Netscape and I hated Netscape from the past. So If I'm accusing Netscape and I'm wrong, again I appologize to everyone. How did you run that test thing on my site to find errors. I'd really be interested in that. I can't inmagine what errors they are. But your right, maybe there's something that I need to learn. Hell, there might be many things that I can learn. Please tell me what that program is...I want my website to run smooth for everyone with every browser. Thanks Kyle I don't mean to barge in, but when something bad is said about FireFox, I do have to step in. I think of zymic hosting as a free way to dip your foot into the water and see if webdesign sparks your interest. LOL, ahh yeah, posting a link doesn't take much time at all. If you judge my time in reseach by a few simple links, I guess I can see where your comming from. But, I wanted to get something up on the internet. I have done many websites in the past. I never really had anything that I wanted to do until this one. This browser this is really disturbing me. I've never had this kind of problem in the past. P.S. Don't judge the book by it's cover. Take it easy Kyle |

Thanks Kyle The "program" I used is actually a website. It's http://validator.w3.org/ and is very simple to use. You can put the link to your site on there, or you can upload your html file to it. It's great. Also firefox isn't the one not displaying a simple css code. I'm sure it's just a wrong placement or something similar, where Internet Explorer is being too lax on it's standards and letting it show. I think I'm just going to do away with CSS coding, it's always such a pain in the arse inyway. You have a good point though... Kyle And please don't give up on CSS. Just learn how to use it correctly and it's a great tool to have. If you ever have any questions about something not working I'm willing to help. ( even if we did get off on the wrong foot |

Why would you want to give up CSS? CSS is the present and future of web-design. Why not just download one of the free templates and see how the code is used, or even use one of those on your site. They are all compatible with the up-to-date browsers.

Don't give up on CSS... I was like you when I first got back into web design. I didn't want to change from the old fashioned way of doing it to the new way of doing it, but I am doing that now and trust me... Using CSS is -ALOT- easier than using tables to do your entire layout....
If you go to the link that Trippin provided for you, and you enter your URL you will see a "Clean up HTML" button there.. Click it and then hit "update" - It will clean up your HTML to the best it can... That should fix a good majority of the errors it's giving you. Google up "simple css layout tutorial" you will see how much easier it is to use DIV instead of table to make a layout, it would cut your code by at least a third, maybe more... I was also like you with IE and Firefox.. I -hated- firefox because everything I designed in IE looked weird in firefox.. Then I downloaded IE 8 and I kept getting errors on it so I decided to just use FF3... FireFox is EXTREMELY faster in my opinion, on loading and loading new tabs, ect. IE takes alot longer and I get more errors out of IE than FF... If FF gets an error and has to close, when I re-open it it asks if I want to open up my last session due to the error.. I select yes and I start off right where I was, I don't have to worry about finding whatever sites I was on again.. And now that I'm so used to using FF everything I design looks perfect in FF and now I have to go back and find fixes for IE to make IE look right. FF is probably the best browser out right now. |
