Hello

I seem to be having trouble with my e-mail form. I've tried using a few different tutorials, but they all seem to do the same. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong, and if so, if someone could help me with it. But when I fill out the information and click Submit it goes to a page saying
"Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The mail() command is not allowed. in /www/zymichost.com/r/p/h/rpherbalife/htdocs/mail.php on line 17
There was a problem sending your request."

My form is under http://www.rpherbalife.zymichost.com/contact.html
and the php file is under http://www.rpherbalife.zymichost.com/mail.php

Thanks for any help!

The error message tells you everything. mail() is disabled, since we don't allow outgoing email. There are plenty of threads about this on the forums already.

Does this mean forms aren't allowed, or just that function? Sorry [new with forms].

Do you have possibly a link to the other form topics on the forum?

I'm not sure how to fix it where I do not use mail() function

If you want to send mail from our server - you won't be able to make it work - as we don't allow outgoing mail.

http://www.zymic.com/forum/Function-Mail-P...tml&hl=mail is a good thread for the mail() issue, since it covers the reasons behind it.

What you could do in place of an email script is make a PHP script that inserts the form data into a database. You can then read the DB and reply at your discretion

That does sound like an idea. Only I'm not to good with all the database stuff. Do you have a tutorial off hand anywhere by any chance?

I'm making a script that lets a user submit a form, then it makes an html file in a msgs folder which you can read. No database required.

v1.0 is finished. Info in this thread: http://www.zymic.com/forum/Php-Emailer-Alt...tive-t1392.html
