I'm using windows and also tried Linux, since I don't play a lot of games, I prefer to use windows because of its compatible to other software, so overall windows is the best pick for me rolleyes.gif

It's interesting to see Microsoft Windows has just over half the votes in this poll. I wonder if that translates into their market share. Something tells me it is substantially more though.

I like Linux (No brainer) it has unrivaled stability, expandability, and awesomeness. Windows works better with stupid intel chipsets.

windows xp is much more convenient that Apple Mac as it's system suits to any characteristics, Apple - on the contrary makes its system under defined characteristics that gives it a little bit inconvenience in usage
Linus is another OP, it is rather suitable

I liked using XP, but I now have Windows 7. XP was starting to get annoying. The updater broke, which meant that it kept asking me to restart my computer every five minutes, despite not even having installed updates. It did that twice, the first time I think was due to my AV deleting false-positives, which kinda broke everything in XP. The second time, it was installing updates and the power was interrupted.

Loving Windows 7 though. Great upgrade from XP. One or two teething problems with hardware incompatability but that is expected from a computer that is five years old.

So which operating system do you rate the highest? Windows has the monopoly of course, but is it the best all rounder?

For me, it's between Windows and Linux, for different reasons. I like Linux's OS, but the Linux user community is just as bad as Mac's in terms of my getting the sense that New Users Needn't Apply.
