try re-uploading sessions.php the file may not have installed completely.

The error refers to a unexpected ending or lack of ending of the file in question. The .php files need to end in ?>. If their not closed properly you get this error. Naturally a incomplete upload would cause this.

I re-uploaded the file, but checked the end to make sure there actually was a ?> to the end of it....well there wasn't.
I guess I'll be looking at all the *.php files
anyways, I re-added sessions.php and recieved this:
QUOTE
Notice: Use of undefined constant php - assumed 'php' in /www/zxq.net/b/l/a/blast-assist/htdocs/libraries/joomla/session/session.php on line 1 Fatal error: Class 'JSession' not found in /www/zxq.net/b/l/a/blast-assist/htdocs/libraries/joomla/factory.php on line 507

I seem to really not know what I am doing. dry.gif
I apologize in advance for any irritations I am causing you.

Thanks a lot lizon. The tutorial really helped. By the way, how did you figure out how to do this kind of installation? Is Zymic the problem?

Included PHP files (such as session.php) that are PHP do not require a closing ?> tag.

Hello
I went through the process fine but after dumping the installation file and trying to login to the site administration I received a 404 page not found with the URL of http://hosting.zymic.com/404/
The site URL is http://silpadajewelry.zxq.net/ . The Frontpage comes up fine with the sample date but when I add administration on I get the 404 response. Any ideas on what is the problem.

Thanks

Error: type of file "CHANGES-2.1.0" not allowed

I have installed Joomla many times on other sites, never had a problem.

I get that error with FTP Program as well as when I try with Zymic Control Panel Online File Upload
{ to correct directory of course )

I am attempting to install the latest Joomla_1.5.20

Its probably the ftp server is now allowed extension 2.1.0. Change the name to CHANGES-2.1.0.txt, it should work

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Never have had such a mess installing Joomla on any webshost free or paid before in my life.
This is such a disappointment.

I finally gave up and went with freehostingcloud, what a relief, easy breezy like its supposed to be and fast as a whistle.
Thanks Zymic though for the site, I have utilized it for the wordpress rather than the Joomla and incorporated the sites.
The sites are for my older Uncle who wanted to create a family blog and family tree.
Your Free Zymic site will do quite handily for the wordpress and is greatly appreciated.
I know I could have used the freehosting cloud for both, but decided the wordpress
installed on Zymic might be safer for now until I get my Uncle used to Joomla.
Did not want to totally confuse him LOL.
Now, if I can just teach the mon unc how to use the Wordpress, I can relax a bit.

The newer Joomla and the paid pro themes ( Rocket Themes ) have files that are not accepted by Zymic.
Perhaps someone should look into that, but its not my problem anymore.

Great Forum and thanks for the assistance even though for me it was a moot point.
