Ok I was wondering if you could make your scene and every thing in maya then import all that into blender for the gaming end of it. unsure.gif smile.gif huh.gif wacko.gif

Yea I think. I'm not sure what Mayas export files are but I 'm pretty sure it will work because is a popular program.

He can use whatever he wants. I don't think it's right to tell people what to use. And maya is owned by Autodesk, who also owns 3d Studio Max.

export to wavefront obj file. they open in all 3d apps, might have to use import

Yep you can import maya files into blender using the .obj extension.

Most of the time when I use .obj extension, there are a few features that are not imported. Not sure if it's just me or that happens to everyone. The same also goes for CAD softwares, when exporting into any autodesk softwares, I get the same issue (different format). I guess it's more a specific software feature.

But the only way I know how to transfer files is through that extension.
