hello, i was wondering if any of you knew of a good DVD ripper for my pc that i could use. I looked on google and i dont want to download any cause of possible virus's.

DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter definitely.

The DVD Shrink is the best software and it's free, and will optionally recompresses the video files so that it can fit on a single-layer DVD-R.

ok, thanks. Now does anyone know of a converter that i can use to convert the video files to Itunes friendly file types?

Magic Video Converter is what I use for converting. It supports numerous file types.

A free one then you should try Total Video Converter. Its free and can convert various types of files.
Just google it for "Download Total Video Converter".
