Photoshop 7 and CS1 ran fine under wine for me. You do not need Dreamweaver.

With that said I still use Windows mainly. Linux is awesome and I occasionally use it for a month straight, but when I'm doing design daily I feel more comfortable on Windows.

Google have done a lot of work on getting photoshop to run smoothly under wine:

I don't personally use photoshop, but when I ran the trial version, I didn't have many problems.

Try to use kaspersky 30 days trial version after making use of this you will come to know how effective it is.Just try it once and it supports only SP2 XP Windows.

The best I have found for free anti virus would be Avast

Avast offers a free version that I have had for years that works great.
