As there are some people have been finding problems with submitting their custom domains at Zymic, we have this tutorial showing you how to direct your domains to Zymic name servers. As Godaddy is the most popular domain registrar we will show you how to do it at their control panel and the completion here at Zymic control panel, now enough with the talking and let's start:

1. Log into your Godaddy account using your username or your customer number, the CN is found in your receipt that you received from Godaddy once you made your domain purchase.

2. Click "My Account"

3. In your account page you'll find all your registered domains.

4. Just look for "Domain Manager" and you'll be transferred to the domain manager where you can manage your registered domains directly.

5. Look for the domain you want to direct to Zymic name servers, select and check the domain.

6. When you select the domain look for "Name servers" then click set name servers in the dropdown menu

7. Make sure to select the "I have specific nameservers for my domain", you'll see the default nameservers, they're directing your domain to Godaddy so it's useless at Zymic unless you change the name servers.

8. There are different Zymic domains like vndv.com, zymichost.com, zxq.net... etc, so we're going to pick zxq.net as our sample, simply enter your Zymic name servers then click OK. Selecting your Name servers depends on your Zymic domain, they can be found on your website administration panel, see this thread for more information.

9. After that, the work is done at Godaddy, now go to Zymic and log in to your account using your username and password.

10. Select your site and log into it using your password.

11. Now you're into your ACP, click Add custom domain.

12. Enter your custom domain and make sure to check the "Extra Domain", now simply hit "Apply custom domain".

13. Now your job is done. Your domain will be up and running within hours, please allow up to 48 hours for the domain to work. If your domain doesn't work within the time giving just head to the hosting chat room and ask for assistance there, but please follow the rules and don't abuse.

Note: This is just a tutorial, if you face a problem with Godaddy or their control panel, Zymic will not be held responsible for any error that may occur there, so please do not even bother asking.

My control panel does not look like that. Please help. There is no add custom domain, etc. Is the ACP different? There is no way to get into there. I don't have the login control panel under the account page (with the Twitter on it)

Hi. Thank you for your tutorial. Very generous of you to put in all that work.

I've followed your recommended steps to tee, but cannot seem to get it to work. I own a domain at GoDaddy. I have the nameservers there pointed correctly to NS1.ZXQ.NET and NS2.ZXQ.NET. I've added my custom domain at Zymic. No luck. Any assistance would be enormously appreciated.

the godaddy nameservers are pointing to zymic, and i was able to add my custom domain, but i'm wondering where the FTP information for the custom domain is?

have i not waited long enough for the custom domain to show up somewhere else. will it eventually display on the main control panel page?

Hi,
I have done everything exactly as shown in the tutorial, only that even after I have waited for more than 4 days after setting the nameservers in GoDaddy, when I try to add a custom domain in the Zymic CP it keeps on saying the domain name is not pointed to ZXQ yet.
Any help?
