Hey all,
I've started another template, after failing many times lol I think I'm starting to figure some things out and am starting to get a little better at this lol.

Any ways I'm kinda stuck, I've got the layout I want create and the header is pretty much done except for maybe some links in the upper left etc, but I'm kinda stuck on this content area, I like the layout of it, but something seems off, or like I'm missing something, maybe I need to make the headers for the content boxers a little fancier? but what should I do to them?

Thanks for any advice,
Kevin DiGennaro

i think its a good, simple layout.. you could try making the content boxers fancier, or just see what you can do with the body of your layout.. as for the header and menu nav, i think its good..

Oh man, worse.

I personally don't like the rounded nav buttons. And instead of that disgusting bevel I think a simple gradient would look much better.

I think that you give great critiques to other people, so why don't you try looking at your design as if it's the first time you've seen it and try to see if you find anything wrong with it.

Also I think your logo font could be changed.

The color scheme is okay, but I think maybe both colors could be slightly lighter. Can't hurt to try, maybe I'm wrong.

That bevel is seriously messing it up. Remove it ASAP.

i was going to say stay out of bavels for the first one.. you killed me with the second...

You need to be perfect when you draw layouts, sizes, centering, positions... everything matters :

text on buttons not centered
the left nav top image is not the same size as the content top image
there is a white line coming from no where on the bottom right side
computing the us 'golbally' ? is it not globally ?
should leave a blank area between the content and the header
should us more gradients and less bavels
should make colors match and go well with each others...

no seriously, once you get this things done.. making a layout is easy.
