The reason is that a covering of cloth is supposed to keep the sexual appetites of passing men at bay when women travel outside the home. This can actually save a woman's life, since she is usually assumed to bear the responsibility of unlawful sexual encounters.

I don't think a women like wearing a burqa all time. Suppose yourself and then think about it they are not animals they are also human being. So its depends on a woman herself, where she like to wear it or where not.

wearing anything is to in my point person own dicision, government cant force or its illegal to force them not to wear anything which they want to. if security concerns there should be point where the show there identity while entering stores or banks and its simple not a big deal in todays world. Burka isn't freedom or etc. Should be ban. I'm living in Istanbul, Turkey. I know their politic propagandas. Freedom and religion??? Who knows she's real needs? Maybe she's family gives an orders who knows that. Stay smart. We're talkin about burka.
