Hi,

I am designing a catalog however the photos have a background, for
example the pictures are of shoes but i can see the table the shoe is
sitting on and the background behind the shoe, is there a way to cut
the shoes out in Photoshop so the background is removed?

Thanks

I have to agree with Andy. You want to use the pen tool to accomplish this job. You may also want to read up on this article as well: http://blindmansgfx.net/Tutorial_html/rend...orial_text.html

You may also want to read up on how to use the BLUR tool.

polygonal lasso tool is great and quick to use, you have to do it in sections and use the delete button aswell - very easy to use with mouse if you dont have a graphics tablet

omg people help the guy by giving him tips not links.

well what I would do is use gimp ussually as it has a feature called color to alpha (which is transparent) and for example if your background was white I would suggest using the color to alpha feature. If you have a table and floor or something else you want to get rid of gimp has an eraser tool that makes what it erases transparent.

If you use paint I would suggest using the earser tool to erase what you don't want. then open it in a prgram (like gimp or photo shop) and make the background transparent

If you can't do it then I would be happy to do it for you. pm me the image and I will earase the backgroud for you.

sometimes i use the eraser. i zoom it as close as i can and use the eraser tool to delete away the background image...
i know its a lot of manual labor but a little patience always pay a lot...
