Could it have some disallowed files? I'm not sure if that would affect it though... hmm. I'll try it myself. What version?

i dont think it has sumthng to do with the files, i've tried installing joomla too and i cant add any modules or components either, i'm having the same problem. I also tried finding a workaround but sadly they all also say the problem is on the server, they wont allow us to upload files to the temp folder

[ Continue ... ] Upload component - Failed Installation file not found: /www/zxq.net/s/m/g/smgs/htdocs/media/install_471ee78618ca6/ [ Continue ... ] There is a xml file is your folders permission 777? make sure of that..... also, are you sure the file your trying to upload is a component? sometimes they get packaged wrong and it could be a module or mambot. what component are you tying to install? |

Any component gives this error CHMOD 777 to the dirs and files.

I have the same Error :

[ Continue ... ] Upload component - Failed Installation file not found: After a lot of tests , impossible to install component / module or other thlings. Could you give us more rights ? it is a php.ini access thing furlopen needs to be changed
which means this host does not allow packages installs |

just manually install the components... (basically drag and drop in ftp)
