I need to make a button like this:

http://www.rons-free-games.com/index-folder/zymic.gif

What would be the best option? I would like it to be pretty much the same as that above but with my own text...

Is this possible?

It is possible but you'll need a gif animator program. They are many of those you can download from sites found in search engines. In the most basic, you'll have to design each pic individually and then arrange them in order (timing and sequence and such) then compile them into a gif.

If you have Photoshop 7.0+, you can use imageready to animate.

Macromedia Fireworks is easy to use to animate GIF files.
It is also a great graphic designing program, I recommend downloading the trial.

It depends on whether you want to track the users that click that button or not. True affiliate software will track any user's IP address for up to a month when they come to your website from your affiliate link. The software itself will generate the link with the necessary code, either from an image or a text link.
