thought I'd ask just in case i can. I want to know if I can get a ventrilo server downloaded to Zymic for me to use. Naturally I will pay for the expense, but if I want to host it on my own apparently I need to keep my pc running 24/7. I've looked for free hosts but couldnt find any that were real.

I'm going to go ahead and say it wouldn't happen because it would require you to run ventrillo via command line, which you wouldn't have access to. I'm sure the admins will say the same. If your willing to pay for it here, why wouldn't you just buy from a ventrillo host?
At nuclear fallout server hosting, it's only $4.99 a month for a 10 slot server. I don't know how many slots you were thinking but it seems pretty fair price. |

Well I was actually just going to buy the Ventrilo server package from their site to avoid the monthly fee. Just needed somewhere to host it.

Well considering it would be another server process to run, I doubt they would do it. You could probably find a cheap out of date computer and leave it running all the time (in your house)...

I agree with Trippin - your best bet is really going to be to just go with a professional Ventrilo host. My personal recommendation is www.darkstarllc.com - but there are a lot out there. The Ventrilo website has a complete list of legit providers.
