I wanna watch some sad movies... Do you know of any? list them here: Why would you WANT to watch sad movies? I'm not a big fan of them myself, I'm more of a horror, action, thriller type person. I don't even know of any sad movies I could list for you. MrTouz - I didn't really consider the movie "The Illusionist" sad. A drama, definitely, maybe I am just not sensitive enough. ::shrug:: Magnus - Once again, I didn't really consider "The United States Of Leland" a sad movie, it's definitely good and has some things in it that SOME might consider sad, but (and again) I must just not be sensitive enough. |

Well, the only type of movies i like to watch are 'sad / drama / romance' well... this area, don't get me wrong i love action and trillers and sci fi stuff.... i like it love it.
But when i watch a sad movie... like the illusionist i get this weird feeling (that i love) Illusionist is a drama movie as a type... there is no movie genre called 'sad', the clossest match is 'drama' because it has sad feelings in it. I dunno for you but don't you think The Illusionist is a Sad movie ?, 2 people coming from 2 different backgrounds, that love each other, that can not live togheter, this guy that makes illusions, and this girl that fals in love with him but can't be with him because she is in some of te high level education people... the guy she is ending up with is a killer that is going to 'kill' her... all that being an illusion, each time he makes a scene on the movie you can see his SAD face all over the screen (actor from American History X, the italian job...) THis is a definitely a sad movie. lots of romance, and drama.Perfect movie. |

To be honest I hadn't watched it when I recommended it. I just heard it was sad. I don't think its sad either, now that I am about to finish it. Mysterious Skin is definitely sad though, I would recommend watching that. |

In all seriousness, what makes a sad movie "good". Is a "good" sad movie more sad than another? Is it "good" if it ends happy? Seriously what makes it "good" I'm not saying that sad movies are "bad" but what characterizes them as "good"?

Ima watch the entire movie right now. Yeah, it is a really sad love story, though it's one of the deepest I've ever saw. I cried so much in the end, I just couldn't help it! And I don't usually cry over movies and stuff like that. |

Anything with Steven Seagal. His lack of talent makes for some of the most hilarious films ever created—but you can't help but feel sad for how bad he really is. Hahahahaha! I don't like him. Yeah, it is a really sad love story, though it's one of the deepest I've ever saw. I cried so much in the end, I just couldn't help it! And I don't usually cry over movies and stuff like that. Yeah, it was sad... Are there any other movies like this one? I wanna cry, can't cry if I don't have anything to cry for... |

Well, I watched The Ultimate Gift and it's quite sad...
There are funny scenes as well, but mainly, I think that's a sad movie. And someone has leukemia (or another type of cancer, anyway) in this movie, too |
