Very poor job. There is basically no effects that i see that you have added to the render. All i see that you have done is placed a render and added a radial background ( i think. Then possibly smudged the background a little)

In my opinion this is not a sig. Just look at tutorials and play around with say spatter effects etc.

Oky sorry for those of you who dont know what a render is in sig creation. I know Hendo does. A render is simply an image IE Cloud from final fantasy cut out. Thats it. Go to planet render and see for your self. I usually render my own images etc. By using the pen tool. I use the pen tool in actually everything i do.

AS to L. Kaiserblazer Yes there is tools in adobe photoshop that is called Render. Which is used for clouds . etc effects. I wasnt refering to this. But yeah you are right

Ok when someone creates a sig i automatically assume they know the technical term for almost everything. NExt time i wont be so

Anyway i will be doing tutorials very soon. One of them is how to create a logo such as this

flyoy and hendo: thanks for the sites, they are useful. I will need to look into them more.

Day two of messing with gimp gives me this:

I used the advice from your tutorial, hendo and added some blurring and darkness around the corners to give it some depth.

What do you guys think?
