PHP setting allow_url_fopen is enabled:
Optional - This setting is optional, however certain phpBB functions like off-site avatars will not work properly without it.

Will this ever be enabled? It would surely help phpbb users, but, I don't know if you guys have that closed for a certain reason.

Alright. I am used to paid servers, but the one I was using was bought out and the current company ruined the company I was with. And I saw this and couldn't pass it up because I have browsed this site for a long time without ever registering.

i completely understand how you feel, but to let you know both versions of phpBB (2&3) work flawlessly on Zymic hosting as proven in the script test site.

I am not sure if my question should be post here o not...
I tried to import a blog from blogger and I couldn't, I just want to know if it is possible or not. When I tried to do it this message was shown:

Sorry, fopen is not allowed to open URLs (allow_url_fopen), and no curl extension is found on your host. Process aborted.

Is there any change of importing from blogger or it is a matter of host?

if you look at when i replied, it was in NOV. (cURL was enabled then)

pretty soon zymic will release an upgrade which will allow for fopen, safe_mod off etc.

so until then, you cannot use fopen or curl.
