I'm just wondering if anyone has used a free blog-engine by b2evolution (http://manual.b2evolution.net), and if so, whether it worked ok with Zymic's free hosting, i.e. does or would Zymic's free hosting support b2evolution.
The system requirements for b2evolution is on http://manual.b2evolution.net/System_requirements. If this canot be supported by the free hosting, does anyone know of another free alternative blog-engine/platform? I have thought of a full-blown CMS, but would rather avoid this. The only main requirements are that it allows password protected user access, user sign-up, admin priviledges, that type of thing...

By the way, this is NOT an ad or spam for b2evolution, appologies if it seems that way

I suspect that it will run, but that some features won't - mail() is disabled, but you can have it enabled for $10. We also probably all into the 'paranoid' webhosters that they mention - we do have sockets disabled for example. Unfortunately, they do not actually list what functions they require for what tasks. So, it might be worth a try, but you might have to move if it doesn't work.

the photos in the photoblog either display an error about .evocache file permissions or they don't display at all and just show a blue square with a question mark in it.
