Quite an interesting thing going on in the US right now. As most of the country is getting snow and in ice storms, Florida seems to be having a heat wave of sorts.

Based on today's temperatures...
The north part of the US is ranging around -23 to 23 degrees Fahrenheit (Oregon to Maine)
the middle part of the US is ranging around 2 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit (Arizona to Virginia)
the south part of the US is ranging around 50 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit (Texas to South Carolina)
and central Florida (where I live) is currently around 84 degrees Fahrenheit

Obviously, there is something weird going on, seeing how it is in the mid 80s halfway through winter...
Melbourne, Australia is expecting a high of 86 degrees Fahrenheit today...in the middle of Summer.
Never should any part of the US and Australia be having the same temperature considering season differences.

After thinking about that, I realized that the birds never actually migrated down to Florida this year. I sort of want to know where they went. Birds hate freezing cold and hot weather, so they must be somewhere around the border of Florida and Georgia to get the comfortable weather.

I've always sort of believed in the idea of global warming, but I think this is a pretty good example for the skeptics.

It has been unusually hot all month. It's REALLY PISSING ME OFF. I hate hot weather, and I live in Southwest Florida. I look forward to winter every year because of the cold, I like opening the windows and letting the house chill out, but this year I've had the AIR CONDITIONER on. In DECEMBER ffs. Mother nature needs to get off her period and get stuff back on track.

Generally where I live (Rochester, somewhat upstate New York), we've had weather around 50-60 degree one day and the next day we get hit by harsh snow storm. It's really awkward.

But I disagree... It has being extremely cold in Kansas... going from -2 F to 20 F... very windy too... very cold wind. I would say an ice age is looming in the future biggrin.gif

Ausdsie... Hot one day, cold the next in Florida is due to something we call "cold waves" or something.. Watch the weather channel, they'll tell you when the next one is coming.

I haven't noticed any difference in Florida weather, really.
