Have you ever seen those little graphics in your address bar?
PodTube has the little http://podtube.co.cc/favicon.ico graphic. Now, if you’ll notice, you can find it at http://podtube.co.cc/favicon.ico. This should tell you one thing. One, it’s an icon. To make your own and get it to display, here are some instructions. 1. Open PhotoShop or the GIMP. The GIMP is free, and can be easily downloaded. 2. Create a new image, 16×16 pixels in size. 3. Zoom in and draw a small logo. Try to avoid words. 4. Save as favicon.ico in the Icon file format. 5. Upload it to the root (/) of your web, so you can see it at http://your-site.com/favicon.ico 6. Wait for a while, and it’ll appear. If it takes more than 24 hours, press F5, clear your cache, and restart your browser. |
