I've been experiencing the same problems as the original poster. PHPMyAdmin repeatedly gives me the error message "Wrong uername or password" even though I enter the username and password that has the priviliges necessary to manage databases. Any thoughts on why this is?

Hi all,
I am new comer here. I registered free host Zymic with uuuq.com also. I set a db up with dbname is jim79db and it is displayed as jim79_jim79db and user is jimmy (displayed as jim79_jimmy). When I try to connect DB via PHPMyAdmin with user jimmy and password I set up, but I always get incorrect user/password. What is wrong? |

Try using the user as displayed. It really is jim79_jimmy.

I have no problems logging in, but the speed makes it almost impossible to use. Links take about 2 minutes to open.

If it says wrong user/pass then you really are entering the incorrect details. What is your database username? Remember it has to be less than 16 characters in total. |

Ok but why during the setup, why it's not forbidden to have more than 16 characters ? In my case, my site name is "lapierredetear" my user db name is "abcdefghik" so it's say me my full user name is lapierredetear_abcdefghik. Now how can i've get acces to phpmyadmin ? Should I must unsuscribe and re-signup with new user name instead of "lapierredetear" ? |

You need to create a database username that is only a single character in length in order to keep the 16 character limit. lapierredetear_d will work, for example. |

Ok thanks it's work now But be carreful you're saying : "To login use your database username (e.g. site_99k_org_databasename)" so the example is wrong XD ! It will be "sitename_userdbname" Thanks Best regards |
