Good day everyone, I'm a total newbie or total ignorant in regards to php, I try to read as much as I can but... I guess only time will tell. However, I upload all my website files to my FTP account, and I have to set all the files or folder to a 775 rights, I honestly don't know where to start or how to do it. Do we have to set the rights 775 before uploading the files or once it's uploaded, well basically, Does anyone can tell me how to set that up from the beginning?

Thanks in advance for you help guys!

There is few ways to do this, either u log on to the file browser here on the page and click or you do it in your ftp client, or you use phps http://uk2.php.net/chmod.

Now i dont know what ftp program you are using, but most ftp program, u right click on the file/files or folder/folders you want to chmod and set the permission there

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chmod more about chmod

With using the file browser permissions, just tick all the boxes, this equates to '770' and this should be ample.
