Hello everyone ,
I have created a user : librairie_user and a database : librairie_db both have less than 16 characters nevertheless I canno't connect to phpadmin Its says wrong password or user_name password: <edited out> thanks for your help
Reason for edit: Removed password - Bread

The password given is incorrect for the user, if you don't remember the password, drop the user and recreate it.

I am having the exact same problem. I have tried every variation I can think of to get logged in through phpMyAdmin and it will not allow me to log in. I put the database username and password in as instructed and it pops up the login information box again as if I have entered in an incorrect password. I have created a user soldierofchrist_tim and assigned all privileges to this user account. My password is 6 characters long which meets the 5-15 character requirement for passwords. I have tried different usernames. I have erased previous ones. I keep entering new ones. They all come up with the same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Your user name is too long - the maximum length is 16 characters, and yours is 19. Unfortunately there is no way for you to make a user name of 16 or fewer characters.
The solution is to create another site with a shorter name, create the db's ect on on that site, then connect to your new db's from your old site. swordz |
