Well, I've created a database, a username, password, have set all the atributes of the of the user to the database, typed all of the info needed but I got an error saying: "Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL"
I've tried to connect via phpmyadmin and it didn't connect either, it keeps asking me the username and pass, I'm sure I've typed both of them correctly.

My page is hosted at vndv.com server.

What could it be?

If you tell us your site name and the connection details you're trying except password, we'll actually have a chance to help you.

My website addres is web00100.uuuq.com

Again, tell us your user name, we may be able to help.

Sushi - the maximum length for user/db name is 16 characters. Please create new (shorter) names, and then try.

Sushi - my first comment was at pabl-o.

You need to create new shorter db/user names.

That underscore counts. And you can't do that with Joomla (or with any other scripts). You have to use an FTP client or upload whatever you needed to upload via the Zymic file manager.

That's too bad... sad.gif It makes it harder to configurate and manage my website and I think it's not worth such effort

It is localhost.

You "OBVIUOSYL" have something else wrong. For the 3rd time in THIS THREAD we require your connection info (without password) and site name to help you.

The data host is localhost.

Of the two user names you have, the longer one will not work, but the shorter one will.

You should not post your password.

good day everyone, this is my first post so be kind to me,, hahaha

i have an account named jaroman-skimboards.uuuq.com the account has 18 characters so when i create a dbase the number of characters will increase and will violate the 16 maximum length of characters, i think the problem was on the mysql dbase management page it says their that when creating a dbase/user

Only lowercase English alphabet letters, digits and $ allowed with a maximum of 53 characters.

i think it should be better if the web master change it to 16 characters, for us newbies won't encounter problems like this,,

thanxs,
