My school system has blocked the uuuq domain. Its reason is "hacking". The old vndv domain still works however. Can anyone guess as to why the school censoring would think the uuuq domain is a hacking domain?

We've probably been put on some blacklist. We do try our best but it's impossible to catch it all. If you could try and find out the affected 'hacking' websites we'll remove them. Who runs the DNS control/web filter of your school? If we know the company we can try to get the sites directly.

Thanks,
Swordz

School filtering software is very lame. Sign up to co.cc and register a (sub)domain. then point it to Zymic's servers and add the domain name you registered for in your Zymic account. It should work. If this doesn't work and you want to access any website from school download xerobank browser from here. Then install it on your USB pen. Insert the USB pen at school and open xerobank browser It will allow you to browse anonymously and bypass all filtering software that your school have on the network. It works for me.

Um, ok, I work with the tech department at my school so...NO. Either way, I'm not going to be doing anything that will put my college life next year in jeopardy. Plus my school has been known to prosecute for use of proxies (example: my friend).

With school systems, it is very generic in terms of their categories. I.e. Hacking could include phishing. So maybe it was a phishing site and when blocking the domain blocked others too.
One handy thing we have developed for my job is using a whitelist instead of a blacklist. Easy enough to create. Do a search in all server activity and see what is often used (by students) and only allow the good things. Be sure to include a simple request system too - that way people can add to your lists.

Well all the filtering is done via the county instead of the individual schools, so there isnt much I can suggest to anyone that would matter.
