I really do not have a very strong opinionated view of this but I thought I would create a topic and see what others think.

With the recent news of Jamie Lynn Spears becoming pregnant, I just wondered what you thought of her decision to keep the baby and the news (not sure if its 100% true) that her longterm boyfriend Casey Aldridge is not with her anymore.

She now her to deal with his mistake as she has realised but it will be a long road. Im sure alot of people will give her support but its surely a step that werent meant to happen.

This is a thing I dont seem to get either, a parents actions cannot stop a daughter/son from doing what they please. Yes they can advise etc but they really just cant stop it happening. I'm guessing they did most likely bring her up properly as it seemed she and her mother had a really strong relationship. The question 'Where were the parents?' just cant be asked, as they cannot supervise a teenager 24/7.

Another thing about how 'Britney influenced her' is being said to. I seriously doubt this, as she has seen what her sister has gone through and I doubt she wanted to have any of whatever was going on.

What is done is done, it only takes sex, and between two young people, one wrong slip in not using protection and it somehow turns into the parents fault, or a member of the family, at the end of the day they made the decision.

Meh. IMO, you don't want a child then either:

1. Don't have fucking sex in the first place, dumbasses.
2. Or, use contraception. It's something called a CONDOM. YOU BUY IT, STICK IT ON YOUR COCK AND USE IT WHILE YOU "DO THE DEW" (rofl). GOT IT?

I have NO sympathy for people who do not do either of the choices I listed. Sex, in itself, is fine. But if you do not use contraception, then you are basically saying you're prepared for any consequences that head your way. From pregnancy, to some sort of STD. If you don't use a condom and didn't want the "downsides" of sex, then you should never have had fucking sex.

I do not support underage PREGNANCY. I'm not a fan of underage sex myself, but I'm the legal age so it doesn't matter for me anymore lol. If you ask me, underage sex is fine. But only if you take precautions as to not get pregnant or get infected with an STD.

I shall never give support for anyone who gets pregnant from underage sex. Unless they're my own children, that is the one and only exception. To get pregnant at 16 is pathetic and you if you didn't care about using a condom whilst having sex. Then you accept the consequences.

Sure, you could get an abortion or adopt the baby out. But why should you? It was YOUR mistake. So you punish the child for it? This, is why I do not believe in abortion myself, because a fetus is still a LIVING organism. It still breathes, it still eats, IT STILL LIVES GODAMMIT! To get an abortion is to kill something that never got to see the true beauty of this world. You got to, and you wasted that by having sex without a condom. You got pregnant, and so, you basically killed the unborn child just so you could have an easier life.

And the worst thing about it? The people who get it, don't even give a fuck. And I've seen many cases where the male in the "relationship" say's he'll be there but where the fuck is he when the damn baby comes? That's pure cowardice. Afterall, it's a females mistake to have sex with a guy without contraception. And it's the guy mistakes to choose not to wear one at all.

I see no reason in really giving a shit about teenage pregnancy. Sure, way back in the '50s not many women got pregnant. But think back way in our roots, or the amish people/middle east or whatever bullshit. Most women get married, fucked, and have a child at around 14 years of age. Talk about being brutal.

At least with her, it was consensual. (or was it) Some 14 year olds in other parts of the world get pregnant and no one gives a shit.

In some country the legal age is less than 14. And in others, women get pregnant at even younger ages. The youngest mother in known history, was 5 years of age. Need proof? Easy.

You do know birth control doesn't catch everything. My know someone who used birth control and ended up having a child, and is having their second child soon.

Calling her a slut is sick. Saying that implies that all victims of rape (and who got pregnant) are sluts. Which isn't true. However, there's nothing confirming she was raped now. It's too old a case.

If a girl gets raped, it's her fault, not the guys. She shouldn't be looking so 'rape me tonight' good.

I know like 4 people that this has happened to. "Most pills have an effective rating of over 97% -- when taken correctly. This means that the exact same time every day and never being late. If you are ever late or miss a pill, that can erase its effects and you can get pregnant. If you think you may be and you have missed your period, take a HPT."

I don't think so. because it responsibility of parents to look after the child and as human sense it is also our duty to stop....

You brought back the 2 week old topic that i missed tongue.gif

To be honest, for me the age does not really matter. I mean yea... if you are 14 and no shit about a life and got pregnant that's just plain stupid and moronic from you and your parents (if they knew of course) but fuck... if you are 16 17 and got a shit load of money from your sister... i mean... who gives a shit... the kid might not be feeling good which is bad for him/her but fuck at least he/she will have some $$$.

No not everything is about money... but if you do have the $$$ than you can 'allow' your self some 'pregnancy'. But shit if you don't have the $$$ its certain that you might not be able to cover the kid's needs.
___

I personally know 1 couple (knew) that had a kid while being 16 (both of em) my friend (the guy) said she got pregnant and they both decided to keep it... for me that's bullshit... being a dude in his situation... i would not keep it... (16 struggling at school and not a load of money) i believe she fucked him over and kept the baby... all i know now is that the baby is with the girls parents... coz of course... she does not have money, no place, no job, and of course she was 16 or 17.

Garo, why are you being one sided on this topic? Think about it. To many people, abortion is a crime where you are killing a life. This past summer I went to the bodies exhibit in New York City (the one on Fulton Street) and I saw the portion of the exhibit where they shows how the baby is during each month of the pregnancy. To be honest, if my girlfriend was pregnant, I would want to keep it because I can't live with knowing that I would kill my first child. That is insane. Note that this is how a guy would feel. Think of how the female would feel. Something that is in her belly being killed. Something she would stick with her for the rest of her life since it was inside her once. I honestly can't handle that.
