According to the official PHP manual :

QUOTE
Since PHP 4.3 there is a bundled version of the GD lib. This bundled version has some additional features like alpha blending, and should be used in preference to the external library since its codebase is better maintained and more stable.

The bundled version of the GD library includes more image manipulation functions, such as imagefilter(), which can be used to change the overall color of an image.

If there is any way Zymic could add the bundled version of GD, this would be very helpful for me and for other people with have art intensive websites who don't want to create each image in an image editing program and upload them individually.

Edit: According to Wikipedia-
QUOTE
As of PHP 5.3, a system version of GD may be used as well, to get the additional features that were previously available only to the bundled version of GD.

I don't know if that helps.

5.3 would be ok. There are some backward incompatible changes, but they say "most existing PHP 5 code should work without changes". What are we waiting for? wink.gif

It looks like you haven't read what I wrote. I completely agree with you, but you could give us some time to test websites with 5.3 and then upgrade!
Not upgrading is not the solution!

This will be useful only if you put PHP 5.3 on your server.

Maybe you didn't understand, so I'll explain better:
1. E-mail hosting users: "We will upgrade in X weeks to PHP 5.3.xx. Please test your website with XAMPP on your PC!"
2. --- X weeks pass ---
3. Upgrade!

Why should we need to test 5.3 if we haven't it in production servers?
BTW, are you an admin? Do you want to keep a not-supported product on your servers? Do you want to keep a bugged version that has security problems? Do you want to keep a version released on 16th September 2009 when we'll be in 2013? You can upgrade now and save my life.

I'd love allowing the language TCL be used as a CGI on your service for free with mysql-tcl module added so you allow interacting TCL with MySQL. I'd love see that. You'll be unique online and TCL fans will love it.
