hello everybody! i'm new and i have a question: can't i upload my files through ftp using My Network Places from My Computer?? and adding a network place... do i really have to use a ftp client ?

Yes, you'll have to use a free FTP client.

Im having a problem usin ftp to upload an html file.

Here is the log:

The remote host actively refused the attempt to connect to it.
1) Please verify that the destination host name or IP address is correct.
2) Verify that the connection port number is correct (under Site Settings | Type tab).
3) The remote server may be temporarily or permanently inaccessible (try again later).
4) Verify that you have chosen the right protocol (SSH2, SSL, FTP, etc.) and have setup all required options for that protocol.


I have all the correct information set. The username and pw and port number are all correct aswell.

I just used it and now I got this error, I hope someone could help me resolve this issue. THX!

I'm using filezilla and i can't connect to the server at all despite me being able to via regular site login,any idea about this?

I can't connect to my ftp account. I don't know what has happened with it.

9) Do a traceroute to the destination to verify all routers along the connection path are operational.
10) Verify that your subnet mask is setup properly.
11) Verify that your local software or hardware firewall is not blocking outbound connections originating from CuteFTP.
12) Verify that your anti-virus software is not at fault (try disabling it).

Hi,

Just saying i have problems with my ftp.

Every time i visit my ftp it says "Windows cannot access this folder. make sure you typed the file name correctly and that you have permission to access this folder"


I'm not too sure what the problem is.

What do I have to put in these 4 fields? I can PM an Admin with my account info if they need it, but I've tried all I can think of. My Filezilla FTP info works fine in Filezilla...

I cannot connect the FTP
It says 'Login authentication failed'

Filezilla
* FTP address: opalina.99k.org
* FTP username: opalina
* Password: **I tried changing the password many times**

I made it solved, problem was with the username.

Hi, im trying to upload a website using the FTP feature, but im having no luck. I was told to type ftp://username@webhostname.com, did that and when it asked for my username and password i typed it but nothing happens im asked repeatedly to enter username and password. Can someone please tell me what im really supposed to do. I also download some software calle filezilla, anyone have any info on how its used? any help would be much appreaciated. Thanks in advance.

Just tried with filezilla and i get the following message
