Hey Jessis, Welcome to the world of graphic design. I would have to say that from my perspective you are approaching this the wrong way. I was completely self taught mostly I'm sure if you dig through these forums you can find some really ugly web designs that I started with haha. As a web designer don't confuse yourself yet. Stick to photoshop 85-95% of your work will be done in photoshop don't complicate things with other programs. The best way to get into website design is to start designing websites. Maybe you have a company you want to make a site for maybe you don't. Make one up pretend it's real and that you have to come up with a killer design for it. Look around the internet look at as many sites as you possibly can notice how most sites are constructed. Yes appearance is different on most sites but for the most part they all include the same elements. Try to come up with something and then post it here for criticism. Some people are harsh when it comes to criticism but don't take it personally they are only trying to help you improve (99% of the time). Tutorials are a good way to get started google photoshop tutorials pick a link and find something interesting and design a webpage around it. Good Luck, Kevin DiGennaro |

Hi Jessis,
Import Inpage to Illustrator ... (check out both posts ... most applicable to your situation without version numbers of your available software). Migrating CorelDRAW to Illustrator Conscionably, I always bear in mind that the "*.jpg", "*.png" & "*.gif" file formats are the most commonly utilized images used in a web page ... for this reason alone I primarily utilize Photshop 7, PS7, (layer base(d)-image creation) with ImageReady 7, IR7, (created image optimization for internet/digital usage). Even though PS7 & IR7 are ancient, the combination powerfully serves my current need(s). Education is for school, Learning is for life! ... Keep up the good work Jessis! Hope this helps you out. |

hi all
see some important as below: Fortunately, it isn’t required to go to propose school in order to be a graphic designer. A good groundwork in graphic design history, theory, and practical request will help you hit the ground running. There are plenty of resources available in which you can learn graphic design on your own. Don’t set your opportunity to high at first, as it will take excited study for years to turn into great. You can do it though! |
