Hi AshleyStern,
HTML W3CSCHOOLS CSS W3CSHOOLS The information presentation is just awesome, not saying that is the best ... but rather a great resource in repository of, and in working examples, information for research & development. I myself started informal education with a cheap little book called "The Complete Idiots Guide To HTML" back in the early days (not saying that I ever grew out of that stage) and the Zymic Webmaster Resources Community has made the informal process even greater for me continuing in learning proper HTML Coding practices ... along with CSS (been endeavoring in that for about a year now) and have started to dabble in PHP just recently. I have a supposition that your unique learning curve is going to lead to to a vastness of resources as each site will offer material for different levels of education, complication, ability, etc., that you will have to skim, read and peruse to find your niche in ability, comprehension, tenacity, etc.. I also suppose you'll have to take the time to step outside of the HTML information arena and gain knowledge with understanding of new words, phrasings, abbreviations, etc.. ... Sometimes it becomes fustrating when you want to learn and you spend time at a site and the material just isn't explained and then you search for the information needing to be explained only to be led to what it appears to be and it doesn't exist that way, you are left to the mercy of the author of the site ... I know! A tip would be to memorize the basic structure of any HTML webpage CODE <html> <head> <title></title> </head> <body> </body> </html> and work within this rudimentary placing other tags, elements and attributes appropriately respective of placement of their usage within the <head></head> confine or the <body></body> confine. There's alot of learning to acheive a properly coded HTML webpage. Once you have the knowledge with understanding of the HTML the wisdom light begins to flicker and then you are left to your own devises as the light begins to become a constant glow ... how bright or intense the glow is dependant upon you and the amount of energy you put forth ... it takes time. Don't worry about CSS until you can understand HTML (if you bite off too much it may leave you not wanting anymore because you may choke ... you don't give a newborn child a Texas cut of steak, you give it mothers milk until the child cuts a few teeth then it's milk soaked bread or toast in tiny pieces and so on as the child grows). Some more HTML reference or tutorial sites that I visit: HTML Web Design Group HTML HTML Code Tutorial HTML Tizag HTML Code Tutorial Welcome to taking the first steps in becoming a Webmaster. Remember: There is no such thing as a stupid question so never be afraid to ask what it is you don't yet know I hope this helps you out. |

i personally learned mine from various sites depending on how certian things were explained. i ran a search, started with the basics easy to learn on any site and the advanced stuff i had to look up depending on how it was worded for me to understand.
