Registering on Zymic.com
It is quite simple to register on Zymic.com. One of our main objective when designing this version of Zymic (version 6.0) was to focus on user accessibility and the simplicity of user access. However, people still have problems registering on Zymic. This tutorial is designed with step by step procedures to help you register for your master account on Zymic. Why is this account so important? This account will grant you access to all your hosted accounts, our support forum and the account we will use in emergency cases. If we need to e-mail you some details, we will use the e-mail address used on this account. It is very important that you keep this as up-to-date as possible. Step 1: Go to www.Zymic.com Step 2: Click on "Sign-up / Log-in." We have two locations where you can find this link: first is on the top navigation and the second on the sidebar of the home page. Note that this is different on the forums. ![]() Step 3: Once you click on the sign-up link, you will be taken to a page that has our registration form (see image below). On this page, simply enter the details requested: username, e-mail, password and the reCAPTCHA spam block words. Please note the importance of your e-mail address. We will use this e-mail address any time we choose to contact you. Please note that if the e-mail address you entered is already in our database and affiliated with another account, you will not be able to register a new account with it. When you have finished entering all the information requested, simply click the "Confirm Registration" button at the bottom of the form. ![]() Step 4: After you press the button, and you have entered a valid e-mail address, username, password and reCAPTCHA, you will be directed to a confirmation page. This page will only tell you that our server has successfully registered your account to our database and that you need to confirm your account. Now go to your e-mail and click the link that in the e-mail sent by our server. That will enable your account for access to the main website. For hosting support and access to form, you must confirm your account on here. To confirm your account simply enter your account details on the members login form. Once you have logged in, and if this is your first time logging in, you will see a small alert message saying to confirm your account click here. Click "here" and you should be taken to the confirmation page. If you do not get this alert, then click here or the button below that says "ACTIVATE USERNAME" once you have finished all the steps above. Note that that you might need to login on the forum. Don't worry you don't have to register another account. Just use your master account details and you will have access to the forum. As soon as you login, you are required to fill our some basic information to confirm your account. Fill those information in and you should be set. Once you fill the required information and pressed "Continue..." you have successfully registered and confirmed your account. ACTIVATE USERNAME **NOTE: You have to be logged into your account to activate your full access. If you are having issues with your username, come to our IRC's #hosting channel and one of our staff will help you resolve the issue. Registering a Hosting Account
Before you register for a hosting account, you must register for a master Zymic account. See "Registering on Zymic.com" for a tutorial on how to register for a master account. VIDEO TUTORIAL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxJvvTX2CVo Step 1: Login to your Zymic master account. Step 2: Once you login on the main site you will be redirected to the Zymic Control Panel (ZCP). If you are not then click on the "My account management" button on the sidebar. Once you're on the page click on "Create New Web Host Account" button (big blue button). Step 3: Once you click on the button you will be taken to our Web hosting registration form. Here you will be asked a series of questions. Question 1: Choose a website domain name - We offer a variety of subdomains to choose from. Enter the website name and then select one of these domains you want to register your account on. If you would like to add a Top Level Domain (TLD) you will first have to get a subdomain and then add your domain later on. Question 2: Password input form - For added security, we require that you enter a new password just for your account. If you want, you can enter the same password as your web hosting password, but it's always better to have a different password than your master account. So that if someone hacks into your master account, they cannot access your hosting accounts with the same password. Question 3: Terms and Conditions - In order to use our free hosting service, we require you to agree to our hosting terms and conditions. Please read this form carefully as it talks about the things that are allowed on Zymic accounts. Once you have read the terms and conditions, check all three of the check-boxes and enter the reCAPTCHA human verification image. Once you enter all requested information and agree to the terms and conditions click on the BIG GREEN BUTTON that says "Create website account!" Once you press the button you will be taken to a page that will create your account. DO NOT CLOSE, OR CHANGE THIS TAB. If you do close, press back or simply press the stop button on your browser, you may disturb the account creation process. Do remember that this is a fully automated process and the server does need time to process requests. After the server creates your account, you will taken to a confirmation page saying "Congratulations, your website has been successfully created!" On that page you will find your website url, your FTP details, areas where you can get support and a link to manage your new website. To make it even more convenient, our server will automatically send your account details via e-mail. So check your inbox and spam folder for an e-mail from vhostsadm@hosting.zymic.com (do not attempt to send any messages to this e-mail as it will go no where). File Transfer Protocol (FTP) You can use a variety of FTP tools out on the web right now. The most popular and most recommend is FileZilla. Load up your FTP software and enter the following to login (note: you can find these information on your hosting account panel): QUOTE

How to use Zymic Control Panel
We're working on it. Will be available once it's done. Removing Default Index Page When you finish creating your account you cannot yet see your site. You will need to first remove the default index file and replace it with your content. Note that if there are no index.htm, index.html or index.php file on the server, you will not be able to see any content on your site unless you are direct linked to that page/file. Here is a tutorial to make it easier for you to publish your site. Generally there are two methods of uploading and removing contents from your account: FTP and File Manager. At the moment the ZCP file manager is currently being worked on. This tutorial will focus on the FTP (we will use FileZilla since it's the most popular). Step 1: Open up your favorite FTP software and login to your account using the details found on the account confirmation page or in ZHCP. Step 2: Once you are logged in you should have 2 files in your root directory. ............. .............Click on index.html and press the delete key on your keyboard and confirm the deletion of the file by selecting "Yes." Step 3: Once you delete the file, find your index page and drag and drop the file to the file-list window on FileZilla. Voila you have now uploaded the first page of your site. If you want to see a demo of a activated site, then you can visit: http://sazzadtest.zxq.net/ Permalink: CODE http://www.zymic.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=25615&view=findpost&p=120481

Uploading .sql on Zymic Database
How To Upload .sql on to Zymic Databases!! A Tutorial By Daniel Elliott (Video Support Team) First what you would want to do is to make your own database and db user to commumicate with the database. If you dont know how to do it, Go to Zymic's KB on how to make database. http://zymickb.zxq.net/index.php/MySQL Now you need to download a zip file called upload.zip. You can find it at http://vszxq.tk/zip/upload.zip That will give you Zymic Database Upload to add to your hosting account, But before you add it there are a few things you need to do first. First, you need to un-zip upload.zip on your computer to access index.php. Then when you can go into upload folder, you need to open index.php so it can commumicate with your database that you have set up. when you open it you should see something like this. ![]() Now you need to look for this. ![]() This will help you to have index.php to commumicate with your db (database) Here is what a complete Database configuration looks like (this is only an example) ![]() Now you need to upload it to your hosting account, make sure you have a ftp client. If you don't have one or don't know how to use it on Zymic, That is fine, just click right here to go to Zymic tutorial on how to use it. You want to make a new folder like upload so when your done you can delete the Zymic Database Uploader and all the files that it produce. Once you make your foler, just upload index.php to your that folder and once you do you need to chmod the folder to 777 so it can fully work. Once you have it uploaded just type where its at on your browser. Then upload your .sql using the uploader (Make Sure Is Under 2MB). Then once you upload it to the dump you will see it on the file manager, just click on Start Import to import it to your db. That's It's, Your own .sql is now on your db and is ready to be used on your own site. After you have imported your .sql to your db, you can do one of 2 things to make sure no one can import there .sql file. First you can change the chmod of the foler to 644, or second is to just delete the folder. Permalink: CODE http://www.zymic.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=25615&view=findpost&p=120483

Solving Errors
ini_set() and ini_get() The function ini_set() has been disabled on our server. But don't get too discouraged. We do want to allow our members to use their scripts that use this function, so we made a little alteration to this function. The simple solution to this problem is to find every instance of the script that calls out this function and add "@" in front of ini_set() and/or ini_get(). So if you have CODE <?php $option = 'random_quotes'; echo "Value of $option => ", ini_get($option); ini_set($option,0); echo "New value of $option => ", ini_get($option); ?> You will most likely encounter an error like this one QUOTE Warning: ini_set() has been disabled for security reasons in /www/zxq.net/d/r/u/zymictestserver/file.php on line 55 The solution to this problem is to add "@" in front of every ini_set() and ini_get() call-out CODE <?php $option = 'random_quotes'; echo "Value of $option => ", @ini_get($option); @ini_set($option,0); echo "New value of $option => ", @ini_get($option); ?> realpath() The function realpath() has been disabled on our server.
