- Blogger is for some people, but not everyone. It is a perfect blog if you are starting out And Wordpress is a bit longer than blogger almost anyone can get used to wordpress in no time at all.

The main difference is Wordpress providing templates and themes for blogger. Wordpress is much, much more powerful than Blogger. It is pretty much a CMS (content management system.) There is a bit of a learning curve for the CMS side of things, but you can build a pretty kick-ass site without knowing coding, maybe a little html. You can use your own domain name with Wordpress. Other CMS that are pretty good but not as easy to learn are Joomla and Drupal.

Blogger seems more user-friendly as Wordpress is both user-friendly and advanced.

this is what i read in the wordpressmax.com:

For self-hosted blogs on your own domain the options offered by WordPress and the lack of them in Blogger are the big differences.

Wordpress is so different from blogger.blogger is just a free web space for you to write in and no difference from livejournal or myspace...except its template is open so the poeple who learned html and css can design and change.

Word Press blog is the best option for both beginner and advanced bloggers alike.
Both Blogger and Word Press offer free hosting on either blogspot.com for Blogger and WordPress.com for WordPress. Both of these have somewhat limited options as far as additional features and commercialization for making money with the free blog hosted on their servers. Your blog can be shut down if they don’t like your content. So you don’t really have full control of your own intellectual property.

Blogger has introduced a collection of easy-to-customize templates with mobile versions and Google Web Fonts. Earlier templates can still be edited, but they don't have the new features.

No template editing. Style sheet editing is only available as a paid upgrade. Most of the 100+ themes let you upload a header image. Many of them have additional options.
