Wordpress is much more powerful and widely-used than blogger. I think it is also suitable for noobs. You may try to use it as your training tool!

The main difference between Blog spot and word press is that Blog Spot is far easier to use, Ettie, and WordPress has great SEO.

I think the biggest difference is the option of being able to use plugins… WordPress’ plugins can make a blog be a lot more than a blog, while Blogger offers people just a blog.

can Anyone Please tell me what is the main difference between blogspot and wordpress??. it would be helpful if you explain with good example.

These are the main difference :

Blogger Strengths:

1) Very Simple
2) Search Engine Optimized right off the bat.
3) Easy to "tweak" HTML
4) Free
5) Easy to monetize
6) Easy to change layout of page elements

Blogger Weaknesses

1) Limited expandability as opposed to Wordpress
2) Not as many themes available
3) Somewhat limited page layout options
4) Can't be hosted on your own server

Wordpress Strengths

1) Easily expandable via plugins
2) Thousands of free theme options exist
3) Various levels of administrator control for multiple authors
4) The ability to host on your own server.

Wordpress Weaknesses

1) You cannot monetize the free version
2) Not all themes will work with all plugins
3) Harder to "tweak" HTML
4) More options add more complexity
