How To Install Mybb Forum - With Pictures

Here is a quick guide i thought id make to help people out on Zymic, hope you enjoy it and hope it helps you. Lets get started.

1) Download MyBB latest:- http://www.mybb.com/downloads




2) Connect to your FTP account if you don't know how follow this guide:-

3) Extract the files with Winrar or something similar, onto your desktop or something.



4) Upload the files into your area using FileZilla:- http://tinyurl.com/3h7glsq



5) While you are waiting for the uploading to be completed start to make your data base for the forum. Follow this guide if you don't know how:- http://zymickb.tk/index.php/MySQL

6) Once you have made the data base and the files are uploaded go to your domain, the one you created (http://example.zxq.net)

7) You should see the MyBB page:



8) That is normal, in your address bar (http://example.zxq.net) change it to /install so it should look like (http://example.zxq.net/install)

9) Now you should see this page:



10) Click next, then next again

11) You should be at the Requirements Check page, and if some down below is red, go back to your FTP and change the cmod of the correct files:



Missed it out on the picture but make sure the bok on the bottom ("Recurse into subdirectories")

Go into the inc folder, find

CODE

config.php

and

CODE

settings.php

and do the same to them files then click next on the MyBB page

12) Now to put in your data base information you created on step #5:



Then click next again.

13) Make sure each one says "Done" if so click next.

14) Press next, then next again.

15) Now to setup your board:



16) Setting up your administrator account:



17) Now your board is on zymic! congratulations, to see your forum look for

CODE

You may now proceed to your new copy of MyBB or its Admin Control Panel.

if you have it in a folder like mybb then it would be example.zxq.net/mybb
