Greetings all!

I just began my first website. I had a problem almost immediately when I deleted "index.html". Why? I thought I read that in a tutorial, although when I went back to the tutorial I couldn't find it. Anyway, my stupidity aside, the problem is this: When I try to access the website I get "403 Forbidden!" and "The address you have entered is not open to the public,
(This may be caused by not having a index.html file in your root directory)." In fact, it is almost certain that this IS the problem since this is one of two things that I had changed. The other was uploading a php file. How do I get the index.html back? Is there somewhere I can download it from?

That's due to the deletion of the index.html of yours as the error says. You need to create one yourself with any text editor, then you can save it as index.html or index.php if you're going to have a php site. However you should be aware that it's case sensitive, if you name it Index it's not going to work.

Where can I find the content of the original index.html?

The original index.html file should be replaced and you won't need it at all because it's the home page of your site, it only says that your site has been set on the Zymic server, so in order to create your own index you should do some googling and search for what you need or what you want to add as a home page if you don't know already.

Okay, I think I understand now. I managed to replace the index.html code and am replacing it with my own (of course, leaving the footer copyright stuff untouched). Thanks for the help, sorry if my questions sounded a little weird, but I think I understand what I didn't before (that sounded weird, "I think I understand what I didn't before", hmmm...). Anyway, thanks!
