Wow... so i got this job building a website for a local business. Just about everyone in the area has broadband connection so I'm considering putting a little flash in there.
But i've never done flash and i don't have any tools (duh). All i wanna make is a little picture thing, maybe containing 3-4 photo's. Suggestions? |

What's more popular on MySpace/Friendster/etc: animated gifs? or Flash animation links?
I want to work on creating a free webpage with my animations that can be used by bloggers, mySpace users, etc., and I can't decide between these two formats. I can create Flash animations, but can people use them? Are they just as easy (and popular) as gif animations? thanks... |

I want to learn how to make flash games. Any advice on where to start? I've been doing Flash since 1999. Flashkit.com is a great resource for all Flash developers. http://www.flashkit.com/ |

Help! Image animations don't work on my computer!?
Flash does, but jpgs, gifs, etc. don't when I view them through a web broser. I have both IE and Firefox, and both of them don't show the animations-they show the first frame, and that's it. It looks like it's just a still image. Even if I save the animation on my comptuer and open it in Animation Shop 3, it appears as one frame. I have ZoneAlarm and opening up all privacy blocks does nothing either. |

It's a nice bit of kit, but not exactly cheap, but what Nikon speedlight isn't, why not just get a ring flash, look at the one's made by Sigma, Nissan and Sunpak, they will give you as good as results for around half the price ... I'm going to be adding a sigma EM-140 DG to my kit when the funds become available

Stick with standard layouts. I've seen some pages that use 6 or 8 frames on one page. Another site used a layout where you had to scroll to the right to read everything on the page (but you never had to scroll down). These layouts are cute, and you might find them fun to build, but they will drive your readers nuts. The reason that the 3-column layout is so popular on Web sites and newspapers is because it works. You might think it's boring, but you'll keep more readers if you stick with something simple that they can understand.

I would suggest you not to use the flash content due to its loading problem. Moreover it requires flash plugin to load the flash content else it won't show. Instead try to use JQuery as it is light weight.

I would suggest not to include flash content in a website instead use jQuery. Because flash takes time to load and it need flash player to be installed in the user's system.

Never use flash content in website as its outdated now and it takes time to load and also it needs the flash player installed in the user's browsers.Instead try using jQuery as it is light weighted.
