Old post I know, but holy cow. You could get rid of half your icons if you learned how to use firefox's BookMarks! Your desktop isn't the place for saving links to other pages lol.

Here's my latest. http://i36.tinypic.com/15wcnde.jpg

I don't understand the notion that leopard is a "giant toy" when it is more secure and based on unix. If anything windows is the toy. Security on windows is a joke. I think you're full of shit.

Excuse the mess on my dock smile.gif

Honestly I think there is less stuff to mess about with on OSX, making it more of a 'get things done' environment. Of course, some of us do not like doing work.

If you drew that conclusion from my post, I just keep a very clean desktop. I basically keep my local MAMP files there (should probably move them) and a link to Windows XP in parallels. Aside from gaming (which I rarely used to do because my old PC was a POS from 2003, although I do have WoW installed but don't play often- plus I have a 360 sitting next to me on this desk) there is a lot of stuff to do on the mac platform. It has the same programs as windows aside from games, so I don't really understand the statement.

It's not like running Linux where you are constantly messing with stuff and such... All I was saying based on my limited use of OSX86.

Well no- Its possible to do things via Terminal it has the same commands as CL in linux I believe but you don't have to. I take that as the mark of a well designed OS. Apparently Ubuntu is on that level as well.

As much as they like to think that, I do not believe it is there yet. I'm not criticizing OSX, it just is not my cup of tea. I think the OS is well designed and works great but I actually take pleasure in fixing things and figuring out how stuff works. People that constantly argue about the superiority of one OS over another annoy me to no end. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.
