I am running a genealogy program which, as part of its main function, can be used to export a Gedcom file.
When I try it the program starts exporting data but eventually stops and waits for a response from the server which never comes. This is probably due to a timeout delay being set too low. Where can I find the information on the current settings and how to improve it. Thanks Jacques Deslauriers |

go to http://mysqlexport.zymichost.com to export your database Sorry this will not work. The program generates a file called a Gedcom file. Once this file is generated it can then be exported to another site. I guess the term Export is no the best term that could have been use. Actually the export function of TNG is really making a file ready for export So the timeout problem occurs when TNG, the genealogy program, is actually building this gedcom file within the website space. The process starts but eventually halts waiting for a response from the server probably because it has lost its connection. A look into the gedcom folder shows that the file is there but not complete. Since I have never run the process with the full database I have no idea how long it will take nor how big the file will be. Other users of TNG on other sites said they had to have their timeouts delay increased to one hour. Is this something that can be done here ? Jacques |

Jacques I was wondering if this timeout delay was the same as the one that disconnects you if you haven't done anything after X minutes. I think that it is set at around 10 minutes. Can this be increased ??? I really need to be able to build that gedcom file Thanks Jacques |

I really need to be able to build that gedcom file Thanks Jacques This is becoming an urgent matter as I can not continue to work on the site without this function. So would you please tell me if the timeout in question can be increased or not Thanks Jacques |
