Hello,
i had an error message when i try to logn to my hosted web site. Failed to connect to fifisave_zzl_windruns at fifisave.zzl.org. Error: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 0 I have setup my account like that into my ewcfg8.php from PHPmaker 8.0 file: // Database connection info define("EW_CONN_HOST", 'fifisave.zzl.org', TRUE); define("EW_CONN_PORT", 21, TRUE); define("EW_CONN_USER", '711119_windruns', TRUE); define("EW_CONN_PASS", '********', TRUE); define("EW_CONN_DB", 'fifisave_zzl_windruns', TRUE); Password info hidden but correctly setup into my file. More over when i use PHPmaker 8.0 connection from my computer with the same values i had a LOst connection during query error message. Using your sqlbuddy tool with same values i can browse my database correctly. More What should i do better please? REgards P SAVE |

you need to use localhost cause localhost is the database server as we do not allow remote connections

also remote connections to our database servers are disable so you wont be able to remote connect to it at all
