Hi everyone,

I currently have a domain (.com) that I was thinking of bringing over to zymic to try the hosting. I am a bit confused about a few things. I read the tutorial on how to redirect your domain from godaddy to zymic. Is it correct to assume that once you direct the domain here it would then show up in control panel, in the free hosting section with the correct .com? If thats the case wouldn't the website go down (be unavailable to the user) until you upload the files all over again to zymic?

Once all the files are uploaded to zymic I should be able to go to the .com address and not have to use a zymic sub address correct?

Thanks in advance!

no you wont have to reupload the files and all you need to do is just move your custom domain to your hosting account

Thanks for the reply.

I am still a bit confused. If I am going forward with pointing my hosting over to zymic, that means I will have to reupload my site onto the zymic servers. Once I have the nameserver on godaddy pointing here, the files need to also be copied here no?

ok if you are moving to Zymic then yes but if you already uploaded your site to Zymic, then just move the custom domain over via NS Servers or A Records
