Hi arieljt,
Re-verify that your CSS files are in the proper Folder at your web site. I recieve an "404 error" that states CSS files not found at your web. If the files are in their proper Folder - check your code to make sure they are directed to the CSS files (when in doubt "use the long filename path address for everything and once all works with long filename path addresses then shorten the address to the abbreviated form). As a side note: I normally use IE8 for a preliminary viewing of the development of one of my webs and proof my work in FF, Opera, and Safari Web Browsers after I'm satisfied with IE8's look of the page. You've got some things going on there as IE8 appears to look pretty good (small anomalies) compared to viewing your site in FF, Safari, and Opera (messy). As my IE8 reflects "no errors" detected upon the index page when viewed and noticing the browsers ability in presenting the web site the conclusion is that the CSS that is being read needs to be "tweaked for refinement". Another thing that presents itself is you mentioned "php". If you have "php" within the index page it will not be read until you make your "index.html" an "index.php" (the php cannot be read by the server in an HTML document). Hope this helps you out. |

Still having problems, i went and changed every string that was ".html" to ".php", filenames and even inside js code, php ... Why would you have done that? The "index" page (index.html, at your site) HTML Code appeared to function correctly it was only the CSS that needed to be tweaked (adjusted) to bring things into alignment (and such between) for meaningful display to the visitor within the several Browsers. As for the "php" aspect ("If you have "php" within the index page it will not be read until you make your "index.html" an "index.php" (the php cannot be read by the server in an HTML document)."), was meant to be interpreted that: "if you wrote (or, supplied, provided, etc..) PHP Scripts within your HTML "index" page (apart from which existed of the package you downloaded you'll have to rename "index.html" to become saved as "index.php". (as a natural given - Internal URL links of your web site that "direct" back to your "homepage" (index.html) will need to be updated from "index.html" to be "index.php") |
