May I ask what the point of bumping this was? He was asking about making buttons, not converting video.

I don't do many animations but when I really just make something frame by frame, it would be Jasc Animation Shop. I think it is now known like Corel. I use low requirements graphic programs. I got a very low computer but still a fast internet. Animation Shop isn't free though, maybe there is free old versions.

HI! ^,^ I can't understand Image Ready.. I made a banner already but I want it to be animated.. I want it to have different words that blink. Example: The first word on the banner, HI!, next word, MY NAME IS ZYMIC, next word, I LOVE EARTH! and has a delay of 0.5 seconds.. What I want to ask is that when I open my banner in image ready and click window then animation, there is only 1 image selected. How can I add more images so that it will play with different words.? TNX! ^.^ Sorry for being a noob in this program...

Using ImageReady for basic animation [like the one you have in mind] isn't difficult. Try some of the tutorials here.

I know how to create gif banners from movies.
All that you need is GeoVid VidGif.
Very simple and usefull tool, and free trial version is non-limited!!

the best one i've come across is the GIMP
that's free, and you just put a different frame on each layer, first layer at the bottom of your layers list, last at the top, then save as .gif
it'll come up with a box saying gif doesn't support layers/transparency and then you click "save as animation"
if it gives you an error about the colours choose "convert to indexed"
that's good, an easy and free way of doing it, and there are a lot of animation tutorials for gimp on sites such as deviantart.com
