Nevermind, I figured out that but encountered a new issue. When I went to the site and deleted the installation directory like it asked, I went to the next page and got this:

Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL

I installed Joomla 1.5.14, but when i go to: Joomla! Administration Login It says Username and password do not match

any suggestions?

I am having problems with the database setup on it.

I have set the mySQL database name, and username, yet when I enter it in the Joomla installation, it says:

"Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL"

Hi,

I just finished installing joomla!

see my site here -> http://midagallery.vndv.com/

I did have an error come up initially that said ""Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL"

So, I went back to my control panel under database, then I entered my username and password, clicked "create username"

Then I went and clicked "assigned privileges"

Then I could see both my database and user name were created.

So that fixed it.

And I made sure I deleted the "Installation" directory

Still have the same problems with the database. Privaleges, username and the database has been set up. Still get the same error.

That is sooo not true! Coz on pre-installation check, all your check boxes are green - how did you do that coz zlib is disabled. I would like to have all the boxes green too!

Doods, I have a big problem whit my Joomla.
I install the Joomla Packpage and 2 week late I log in to my site and see this:

Hello, I started the joomla web install and when i had entered my language and clicked next it showed an error at the Pre-installation Check stage...

The error said:


An error has occurred.:

Cookies do not appear to be enabled on your browser client. You will not be able to install the application with this feature disabled. Alternatively, there could also be a problem with the server's session.save_path. If this is the case, please consult your hosting provider if you don't know how to check or fix this yourself.


What should i do?

1 no rename configuration.php-dst (any change chmod)
2 replace ini_set() with @ini_set() in session.php
