Hello smile.gif .

Okay, here's a very simple 3D LEGO man model dressed up in a machine tee-shirt wink.gif :

I was wondering if this'd look okay as a wallpaper...

@ Bread: laugh.gif I sometimes get a similar feeling with those irritatingly-cute kids in films/commercials tongue.gif .

Actually, it doesn't take too long to to model. See, basically it's some cylinders [head and cap], a box [main body] and some 2D spline shapes with 3D modifications [legs, arms]. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.

@ Paradoks: Thanks, dude! I like the LEGO characters too -- only I get an urge to give dolls/action figures The Exorcist treatment -- turn their heads 180 degrees every time I can lay my hands on one tongue.gif ...

Thanks folks [Crown, Tom, Andy, Nitsuarox and others] for your comments. Yep, if something seems wrong with the head, then there probably is something wrong with it smile.gif . That's one of the problems of using an image [and not an actual real-life model] for reference -- you have to proceed by guesswork as far as dimensions are concerned. Thanks for pointing it out. Here's a second version of the LEGO man:

But even this may not be dimensionally accurate. I had a LEGO police officer toy as a kid, but I can't seem to find it...

Nice LEGO dude.....being an image or actual object to eyeball and construct from, people can usually get it pretty accurate looking. Hey, have you ever thought about doing an animated gif file by animating your 3d object?

@Bread first comment. You have read my mind. I too want to take the head off, even the hat and put it on my finger.

@Machine - Excellent job. Which software did you use?

Thanks everyone smile.gif .

@ Shipon: I used Max.

@ Midknight: That's a good idea, thanks. I'm wondering if there's an animated screensaver in this LEGO character smile.gif .
