I uploaded the contents of a fresh Drupal 6.2 archive to the root folder of the ftp account using filezilla.

All files completed sucessfully.

I goto the homepage in a browser to start the install and oh, Blank page. Then tried /index.php still blank. Then install.php nothing. I didn't upload the folder, I use Drupal a lot.

I then deleted index.html and still nothing. Next .htaccess but the page still returns blank.

After reading around, It seems there may be an unresolved .htaccess problem on the hosting servers, So is it safe to assume that even though I was able to upload .htaccess I won't be able to use it to rewrite clean urls and by uploading it, The server has faulted, Cached it and won't serve up any pages until it's cache is cleared or apache is restarted?

Any clues here guys?

I have deleted the entire upload using the filemanager in the control panel, Including .htaccess and uploaded the original index.html file that was in the root folder of the account when I first visited it.

So if I wait until the server clears itself and upload Drupal without the .htaccess file, Do you think I stand a better chance of achieving an install?

The site is : http://open.undv.com/ all I'm seeing is a blank page. huh.gif

Yup. undv.com is comming up blank too.

I uploaded the contents of a fresh Drupal 6.2 archive to the root folder of the ftp account using filezilla.

Deleted it now. It seems the undv server is down?

The domain is 'vndv.com'.

Looking at the account, all that exists is 'index.html' within your account.

Haha. You spelt the domain wrong and wasted time uploading and deleting the files. Lol. That's classic. Just check your domain is right next time aye?
