Make sure they are okay with the hosting here. Hosting providers, especially free hosts, have a tendency to disallow the use of resource intensive scripts such as chat rooms. Personally, I'd say a shout box would be fine.

EDIT: Cbox.ws seems to provide a shout box (what I was referring to above) and not live chat.

Chatbox would be nice. I suggest you use Xat which is free or if you want a good paid one then i recommend Bribble.
