I'm having a bit of trouble installing PHPBB3 on my website. I have just uploaded and have attempted to install it with little success. What do I need to enter in database configuration? I've currently filled in Database server hostname or DSN with vndv.com, left Database server port blank as I do not know it, database name with the name of the database I just recently created for it, Database username with the username I just recenly created for it and same for password and finally I left Prefix for tables in database with what was already entered: phpbb_

After that I clicked on proceed to next step and I get the error saying: Could not connect to the database, see error message below.
Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 111

Have I done something wrong? Did I forget something or did enter information that was needed? Please help as I am only a complete beginner.

Hostname is "localhost" next time please search forum
