Hi,

Can anyone comment on this?

You grant Zymic.com the world-wide, royalty free and non-exclusive license to reproduce, modify, adapt and publish [your content]

Does this mean that anything you post on your site is now the property of Zymic.com ?

I am very confused here because I am going to host a game community site, my members would not want to have all their content and pictures given to another company.

Thanks for your help, and I really appreciate what you guys are doing, giving us free hosting!

Basically it means if we feel the need to promote the content of your site, for example 'site of the month', we can use the graphics from the site to do so without paying royalties and without your permission, though it's very probably you would be contacted prior to this.

This excerpt clarifies this:

You grant Zymic.com the world-wide, royalty free and non-exclusive license to reproduce, modify, adapt and publish such Content on the System solely for the purpose of displaying, distributing and promoting the specific Zymic.com site to which such Content was submitted, or, in the case of photos or graphics, solely for the purpose for which such photo or graphic was submitted to the System. This license exists only for as long as You elect to continue to include such Content on the System and shall be terminated at the time You delete such Content from the System.

Thanks, that clarifies a lot, (just make sure that you contact us for permission beforehand) our potential members should be more reassured!

Another question: If I apply for a free domain (feel free to look at my site slsquad.99k.org), do you give it to us for free (and I will own this domain), or does zymic.com own this domain. In addition, how long will this domain be registered for?

Thank you very much
Jack
I'm in the middle of setting up a ToS for the domain name situation. By right Zymic will own the domain name, and if you need to gain control of it you must pay the registration fee - this will stop "hit and run" situations.
