Really not good.
I have to admit it when i see it. Ok the colors are good... i mean green white black always goes well, but the graphics... NOT good, really its just too much in one place, plus you should add some glow all over because its to plane... i mean... it goes from A to Z there are no letters between (Wow... smoking weed does bad stuff to your body !)(promise ill stop)
Try not to put too much, try to enlarge the area but reduce the size of your image... its really too big.
Definitely add some gradients because the green hurts at a moment.

It's not too bad
i think that you put so many things.
A minimalist design would be better.

ShinigamiRealm, I get your visual idea, but the 'look' you're after can be better achieved using vector graphics. For example, see this wallpaper/graphic that I did a while ago:

So try re-doing it using vector drawing tools and maybe use less elements for a cleaner look

Yeah they both suck. I was mega bored and wanted to practice vectoring and web design so I just over loaded loose for practicing.

I think you can fix the first one by cutting the green bit up, scaling it down and moving it out to the corners, and perhaps getting rid of one green corner, I think perhaps the bottom right, you can always rotate the other corners if you want the gap somewhere else, but bottom right isn't a good place to put clutter.
and yeh some gradients, cos the green is a little bright, or if you make the black/grey a little lighter you can get the same effect without changing the shade of green, the green will look less bright on a background that contrasts a little less, so maybe a few shades lighter.
The second one.... whoa color. That's my first impression, but speaking as an artist the shapes are nice. Again I would definitely scale down the decorations so they don't get in the way of any text, and perhaps make the decorations lighter by a couple of shades.
I really like your shapes though, it kinda reminds me of those music/phone ads on the the tv where they do all the randomly coloured shapes of things.
The colours are nice artistically but to be user friendly you might want to make them a little paler.

Ok, I have to address something here..I understand what your saying but I'm getting the feeling you have no idea about graphic design at all. First of all his image is alittle busy i will agree with that..and there is no focal point. But you have understand this is a web templet and many of this will be covered up. The colors/images in the outter edges only need to be toned down, this can be easily achived by just lowering the opicness of the layer with the slider. Keep up the great work..and dont listen to these guys who have no design background at all.

For somebody who thinks HE knows what he's talking about, why the hell would you bring up thread that is now 6 months old?
READ THE DATE BEFORE YOU REPLY TO A THREAD.
How the hell do you find these uber old threads anyways?
And... MrTouz does know what he's talking about
